Job Description

CNC Vertical Lathe Turner (Nights)Salary: £15.50 per hour + £6 per hour shift allowance. £52,000+ per annum!Location: LeicesterAre you an experienced CNC Vertical Lathe Turner Metalis has an exciting opportunity to join our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Leicester, as a CNC Vertical Lathe Turner. If you have a strong skill set a good understanding of aerospacemanufacturing requirements, this could be the perfect role for you.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the accurate and efficient machining of components to meet our clients stringent quality standards.Job Duties:

  • Set up and operate CNC Vertical Lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Load and unload workpieces, select and install tooling, and make necessary machine adjustments.
  • Monitor machine performance, conduct quality checks, and make adjustments as needed to ensure product conformity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to optimize machining processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Vertical Lathe Turner with a focus on setting and operating ideally with an Aerospace background.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling selection.
  • Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Salary & Hours:
  • Salary: £15.50 per hour + £6 per hour shift allowance. £52,000+ per annum!
  • Monday - Thursday - Nights 18:00pm - 06:00am
  • Location: Leicester
