Job Description

Job Title: CNC Router ProgrammerLocation: LeicesterSalary: £30,000 - £35,000per annumType: Full-time, PermanentThe Role:

  • Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, drawings, materials,
    • specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Analyse drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; arranging for sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometres and callipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced.
  • Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary
  • Any other reasonable requests that may benefit the company
