Job Description

This manufacturer of components to the Aerospace industry is looking for a CNC Miller Turner to join their Leicester site for a permanent role.Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 6am until 6pm. FRIDAYS OFF!Role Accountabilities:

  • Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
  • Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
  • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Working to structured manufacturing plan
  • Responsible for setting and operating 5 Axis Mill Turn machines
  • Capable of using measuring equipment such as micro meters, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.
Person Specification:
  • 5 years experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry or time served
  • Apprentice trained - Preferred or Demonstrated relevant experience
  • Working to production time lines in a manufacturing environment
  • Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation
  • Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook
  • A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance
  • Mature, credible and comfortable om dealing with various stakeholders
  • Reliable, tolerant and determined
