Job Description

Job Title: CNC Miller Setter/OperatorShift:06:00 - 18.00 Monday to Thursday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00OR18.00 to 06.00 Monday to Thursday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00OR35 Hour Shift 06.00 - 18.00 Friday - Sunday with a 20 minute unpaid break at 12.00Location: Leicester - LE3Hourly Rate: £13.75 - £15.50 per hourThe Role:Our client have vacancies within their CNC Milling Department and are currently recruiting for Setter/Operator - CNC Millers operating either a DMU 100 or Mazak Milling machines.Duties include:To produce precision machined components to customer and quality specified tolerances using best practise modern methods.

  • Use and control of CNC programs.
  • Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
  • Understand all set up parameters and the effect they have on the process, e.g., datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
  • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling.
  • Responsible for setting and operating a Mazak Megaturn Vertical Turning Centre
  • Responsible for quality output
  • Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
  • Using measuring equipment such as micro meters, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.
  • To perform other such duties as required.
The candidate:
  • 5 years experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role
  • Apprentice trained - Preferred
  • Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation
  • Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook
  • Reliable, tolerant and determined
  • Open to new experiences, responsibility and accountability
  • Work amongst a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Working to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary
