Job Description

Shift Pattern: 46.40 Night Shift - 18.00 to 06.00 Monday to ThursdayLocation: LeicesterRate: £22.00 per hour, rising to £24.00 per hour once competentOpportunity Summary:We have a vacancy for a Setter/Operator - CNC Mill Turner.Role Accountabilities:

  • Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
  • Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
  • Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Working as a team to maximise machine utilisation.
  • Working to structured manufacturing plan.
  • Responsible for setting and operating a 3-5 Axis CNC Mill Turn Machine.
  • Responsible for quality output.
  • Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM).
  • Capable of using measuring equipment such as micrometers, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.
Person Specification:
  • 5 years experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role.
  • Apprentice trained - preferred or demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation.
  • Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook.
  • Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary.
