Job Description

Working hours are 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch and 2x 10 minute paid breaks. As a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high quality precision parts and components. Youwill also be responsible for performing regular maintenance on the machines to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.My client has a great reputation, is backed by some of the leading brands in their industry and presents an opportunity to work with some highly skilled, highly experienced engineers.Job Role

  • Program, set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components
  • Use ProTrak / ProtoTrak and Fanuc Alpha 1000 Series control systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics
  • Select and use appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and gauges for each job
  • Inspect parts and components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • As a CNC Machinist you will perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during the machining process
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment as a CNC machinist
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a CNC machinist
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings, blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines
  • Strong knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures and gauges
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during the machining process as a CNC machinist
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
