An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our existing professional team of Clinical Coding staff at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, which is the 4th largest acute Trust in the country.We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join a well-established Clinical Coding Department.As a result of Covid, our coders now work approximately 50% on site and 50% remotely (working from home) to ensure social distancing and a safe working environment.You must have an in-depth knowledge of using ICD-10 & OPCS working in an NHS hospital environment witha good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.A keen attention to detail is essential to this role. With an in house training programme you will be supported to take the NCCQ exam. You will be responsible for ensuring that relevant healthcare information is captured, abstracted and coded using the appropriate classification and coding methodologies onto our clinical records system.Successful candidates will be shortlisted based upon how they meet the essential and desirable criteria set out in the Person Specification.
