Job Description

Our client is now looking for a Civils Supervisor to join their bust team in Leicester!Salary: CompetitiveDue to rapid growth, they are looking for experienced Civils Supervisors in the following locations - Midlands, North West, North East and Scotland.You will report to the Civils Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day activities on site for the delivery of multiple projects within a dedicated region. Ensuring all relevant records along with the coordination and monitoring of construction activitiesfor eSmart Networks projects as well as making sure the highest level of health & safety is maintained.Civils Supervisor Duties:

  • Ensuring all new eSmart Networks projects, whether EV installations or others, are built in line with safety & clients standard.
  • Ensuring that all projects are effectively managed to time, cost and quality.
  • Create relevant Task Instructions for on-site teams.
  • Assists the Civils Manager in recruitment and growing the direct and sub contract teams.
  • Work closely with the planning team ensuring works completed to schedule.
  • To carry out site audits, encouraging the reporting of near misses and hazards.
  • Work closely with the HSQE department for continuous awareness and improvement for on-site Health and Safety and ensure safe working practices are in place.
  • Liaise with senior and local representatives of third party organisations eg Site owners, Highway Agencies and others as required.
  • Undertake surveys and customer inspections to enable accurate designs and quotations to be produced.
  • Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure the project deliverables are achieved - maintain a high level of communication with the Project Manager.
  • Consistently display the values of the business in all aspects of their actions & behaviour and work with the field teams to install a culture of Safety, quality, professionalism and customer service.
Civils Supervisor Requirements:
  • Self-motivated individuals with exceptional customer service attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a highly focused team to meet deadlines and to work with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong proven background within an operational position ideally within the civil engineering or construction sector.
  • Supervisor NRSWA, SSSTS and CSCS cards/certification.
  • Knowledge of DNO and an IDNO utilities sector technologies and techniques.
  • Qualifications relevant to the Utilities and Construction sector would be an advantage.
