Advantage Resourcing is seeking candidates for a Character Rigger vacancy.This is a role with a leading international Gaming organisation, based in the Midlands with remote working on a contract for 18 months.As a Character Rigger we are looking for outstanding technical ability in all aspects of skinning, rigging and tool creation. Along with day to day rigging duties you will need to be self-motivated and a driven to find issues and optimizations that can pushthe quality of our characters.Responsibilities:* Design, create, test, and maintain character / creature animation control rigs* Develop techniques to optimise character deformations* Collaborate with artists on technical requirements of characters* Work with animators to iterate on character control systems* Building pipeline tools to optimise art and animation workflows* Debugging animation related day to day issuesSkills and Experiences:* Experience creating animation control rigs and skinning characters in Games / TV / Film / VFX* A games / animation degree and demo reel* Good knowledge of Maya* Strong understanding of anatomy* Tools development experience skills using: Mel, Python* Outstanding communication skills* Strong problem-solving skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable:* Solid Linear Algebra* Maya API Experience* C++ Experience* Experience writing Maya Plugins* Experience with Unreal Engine* Experience working with Motion Capture data* Experience using cloth simulation systemsPlease note that due to the high number of applications its not always possible to provide detailed feedback to all candidates, please accept my apologies for thisAdvantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
