We are proud to be recruiting for a Category Buyer for our client who is leading British brand and are looking to add an experienced head to an ever-growing team. The role, initially on a 6 month fixed-term contract, would be looking after Packaging andGNFR spend within the team, over a number of suppliers and partners.Based in Leicester, the role would be responsible for creating and developing a network of suitable suppliers, preparing RFP and Tenders and take responsibility for the overall category.You would have the support of a large team and would help develop you further, while there would be opportunities to get extended or become a permanent member of the team afterwards too, depending on performance.The ideal candidate would have a strong GNFR/Indirects background and would ideally have come from a project related background. You will be able to develop and create relationships internally and externally with ease, and be able to hit the ground runningwith your work.Responsibilities:- Identifying and creating suppliers for network- Preparation of RFPs and tenders as per internal best practice- Appraisal of suppliers, financially and commercially speaking- Management of suppliers and performance vs KPIs and SLAs; continuous monitoring and reviewing to ensure high level of quality- Be up to date with the latest market developments on products/services and provide feedback as required- Manage contractual requirements for new and existing requirementsIdeal Candidate:- GNFR/Indirect Experience- Ideally project related background- 5+ years within relevant Procurement role- Organised- Able to hit the ground runningIf this role sounds of interest, please apply quickly with your latest CV!Please put your home postcode on your CV when applying.
