Job Description

A new opportunity has become available to join Leicester Head Office as a Category Buyer. You will develop and manage the procurement of indirect spend categories within the business and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.About the Role

  • Evaluate the current purchasing process within various departments to bring efficiency
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and support their procurement requirements
  • Manage our current supplier base to improve performance
  • Source and appraise alternative vendors to support overall business operations
  • Maintain supplier price lists and negotiate or mitigate any commercial changes
  • Develop supplier KPIs and monitor to drive improvements
  • Complete supplier RFQs and award business in line with departmental expectations
About You
  • Must have previous direct or indirect purchasing experience
  • CIPS qualified or working towards would be highly advantageous
  • Must have good attention to detail and strive for 100% accuracy
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers
