CAD & SolidWorks Design AssistantLeicesterC £28,000 p.a. DOE

    • The Company:Eileen Richards Recruitment are excited to be partnering on this fantastic opportunity with our client who are a dynamic and successful business based in Leicester.They are looking for an outstanding person to join them as a CAD & SolidWorks Design Assistant and who can bring their passion and drive to the team and be a part of their journey.Role & Responsibilities of the CAD & SolidWorks Design Assistant:
  • Design Injection mould tooling to enable customers to understand the possibilities open to them
  • Use of CAD and Solidworks software for product design.
  • Sign off tooling designs and help customers design parts that are suitable for injection moulding
  • Collaborate with the Toolroom manager to fill out tooling quotation forms for in house tooling
  • Source tooling quotations from sub-contractors to cover off the tooling overflow.
  • Write up quotations
  • Collate data for sub-contractors on spread sheets to enable tracking of the customer pipeline.
  • Keep customers up to date with delivery times.
  • Collaborate with the Production manager.
  • Chase up customers regarding outstanding quotations.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports for the board.
    • About You as the CAD & SolidWorks Design Assistant:
  • Minimum 2 years experience using SolidWorks and CAD software
  • Proven experience in Excel and Open Office/Microsoft Office
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Able to deliver presentations to a small group of people
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Personable
