Job Description

This is a great opportunity to broaden your skill set as an assistant merchandiser, in a highly autonomous role, where your contribution to sales and profit will be very measurable.Client DetailsAn exciting opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join a leading retailer in the Leicester area. Due to trading growth their Home division is looking to add head count to its merchandising team you will have accountability for growingthe business with a diverse portfolio of brands as well as own brand product.Description

  • Develop and maintain awareness of market trends, cultural differences, franchise stores
  • and competitors through regular communication and visits.
  • Analyse sales and stock information.
  • Select and dispatch a product range within budgets agreed with the franchise partner.
  • Liaise with franchise partners & UK teams regularly.
  • Plan product ranges, maintaining accurate Merchandising systems along the way
Profile
  • Ideally you will already be an assistant merchandiser with experience planning a range, but we would also consider a new promote from trainee level / senior merchandising admin assistant
  • More important, is an energetic, pro active approach and a positive mindset
  • You will enjoy trading, as we are constantly reacting to new sales information
  • A confident communicator, you will enjoy liaison with our suppliers and internal departments
  • Ambitious and keen to progress through the assistant levels
  • Enjoy having responsibility and making your own decisions.
