Job Description

Assembly TechnicianAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Assembly Technician based in Leicester. The successful candidate will work a 37 hour week and earn £10.10 per hour.The candidate will be joining a small assembly team, working individually and with others to produce high specification batteries. The person may have experience of light electrical assembly or have practical skills which would enable them to learn the job.Role Requirements

  • Experience of using hand tools for product assembly.
  • Able to read and understand assembly sequence documents and text.
  • Able to work at a fast pace with minimal errors.
  • Ability to cooperate with others, working as a team on larger contracts.
  • Able to communicate well within the team.
  • Have the desire for a long term stable position.
Role Responsibilities
  • Assemble batteries from individual cells and blocks from formal instructions in a clean workshop environment.
  • Mechanically assemble battery packs using hot melt glue guns.
  • Solder and crimp wire terminations.
  • Use hot air guns to heat shrink sleeves.
  • Follow written instructions and photographs.
  • Wire small assemblies.
  • Produce and print labels.
  • Use solvents and adhesives safely.
  • Carry out tests to verify suitability and drawing compliance.
  • Take responsibility for your own work.
  • Once competent, to train others.
