Job Description

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT PT/FT. RECfinancial are delighted to be recruiting for this Leicester based business on a Permanent basis.Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for carrying out financial duties to support the business, in accordance with the business vision and objectives. You will work closely with the Operational Teamto make sure that objectives are met. Located in Leicester the role will be mostly office based with some hybrid available. This role will be available as either a full or part time role. Responsibilities and Duties of the Accounts Assistant Bank reconciliations and postings

  • Posting of Purchase and Sales invoices
  • Credit control
  • Accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Monthly management information reporting
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Vat return
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting
  • Sales and stock reporting
  • Ad hoc accounting projects and assisting with commercial reporting
What are we looking forWe are looking for a confident Accounts Assistant working for a small but growing SME Web Retailer. Our successful candidate will be a team player who is willing to take the lead where required; an excellent communicator; highly motivated and able to work onown initiative; strong systems skills, particularly with Excel.In return we can offer a long-term career opportunity in a company which is part of larger Group, in a fantastic environment and an easily accessible location for work.Ideally you will be part qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent. Skills and experience:
  • Previous experience of stock control/retail is desirable.
  • Self-starter who has lots of initiative and possess a strong work ethic
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Exchequer similar systems
  • Taking Responsibility: Accepting the importance of standards that the business establishes for individual behaviour and acting to live by those standards; being responsible, accountable within the role.
  • Interpersonal and Team Skills: Building positive and effective interpersonal relationships between individuals, teams, business areas and across geographic boundaries.
