Job Description

Job Title: VOIP & Unified Communications Field EngineerLocation: Nationwide (Extensive national and international travel required)Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 (Dependent upon experience)Benefits: 22 days holiday per annum (increasing by one day per year up to a maximum of 25 days) plus 8 bank holidays, Company Pension Scheme, Employee Assistance ProgrammeOur client is a leading global provider of specialized voice and data solutions for the Hospitality Industry. This position requires practical experience in installing, testing, and repairing a diverse range of equipment. Adaptability and efficiency in addressingchallenges are essential to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to our customers with minimal disruption.Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct, review, and document site surveys
  • Install, test, maintain, and repair equipment and systems
  • Solve problems, assess situations, and apply solutions using acquired voice and data knowledge
  • Configure and prebuild voice and data solutions before installation at customer premises
  • Create accurate and timely project documentation
  • Respond to emergency calls, providing on-site and remote support to customers outside regular hours
  • Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Provide training, coaching, and professional development to junior team members
  • Complete required training for the role
  • Perform any other duties dictated by business needs
Skills and Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunication equipment and services
  • Competency in all aspects of associated cabling works
  • Ability to work with an understanding of circuitry, installation, and government compliance
  • Adherence to relevant safe working practices and risk assessment
  • Maintenance of technical or professional qualifications required for the role
