Schunk UK are looking for a Trainee CNC Operator to join their team in Leeds.Salary: £8.91 per hour, a £150 per month timekeeping and attendance bonus.Location: Leeds, West YorkshireShifts: Alternating between 6am2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am12.30pm Friday and then 2pm11.45pm, MondayThursday. Working with customers in the Aerospace, Chemical and Process Industries, Industrial and Electrical Application IndustriesTrainee CNC Operator - Role and Skills Profile:A CNC operator of Schunk UK is a trained professional working on the shop floor. Through their diligent work our products get the high technical standard and fulfil our customers need for quality and reliability. Reporting to the team leaders and workingas part of a team they are proficient and efficient in their approach. This role includes setting up CNC programs, feeding the machines, and checking the products dimensions manually (in- process) and/ or using CMM machines.Trainee CNC Operator - Main Tasks:You will be trained in the following:- Read drawings and creates CNC programs accordingly- Setting up and programming CNC machines (Mazak)- First- off dimensional tests on new programs- Feeds and runs CNC machines- In-process controls using manual devices (gauges, micrometre)- Finished product inspections using CNC CMM machines- Problem- aware, active handling of CNC machines- Reporting in SAP and on paperTrainee CNC Operator - The Candidate:- Good capacity to work in a small team- Methodical skills like 5S or CIP useful- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently- Willing to improve themselves and their work environmentTrainee CNC OperatorBenefits:- Attendance bonus- Private healthcare after a qualifying period- 26 days holiday + 8 days bank holidays.- Cycle to work scheme after a qualifying periodTo submit your CV and be considered for this excellent Trainee CNC Operator opportunity, press Apply today!
