Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Community Nurse with an interest in chemotherapy nursing, who can be trained in this area. The role will be based in and around Leeds, and we are looking for a Registered Nurse with IV and cannulation skills / experience, to startin the community, and then after 6 months start the chemotherapy nursing qualification which is a 1 year course - University accredited - SACT Passport. You will be working for a nationally recognised, specialist provider of Cancer Care. This is a communitybased role covering Leeds / West Yorkshire.The role will initially be to provide homecare to patients requiring IVs - and then once you have completed your chemotherapy qualification your role will involve seeing patients for bloods, toxicity assessments, IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, pumpdisconnections, line care, IM/SC injections and more.Although you will be working independently in the community, you will remain very much part of a wider nursing team, enjoying regular contact with managers and colleagues. You will remain at the cutting edge of your profession, gaining exposure to new technologiesand therapies, and helping to develop care models that break the mould.Benefits as Community / Trainee Chemotherapy Nurse:

  • Starting salary up to £32,000 - negotiable on experience - rising to circa £36,000 once qualified in chemotherapy
  • Company car or an extra £4250 car allowance
  • Monday to Friday role - approx.. 8 hrs per day - flexible to pick up occasional Saturday if needed
  • No bank holiday working
