The company is going through sustained growth and offers an excellent career opportunity to help drive this organic growth across the world.Role:You will be responsible for the design, specification and construction of a test rig as well as being involved in the hands-on destructive and non-destructive testing of equipment using the rig you have helped create. You will be responsible for performing,recording and monitoring various fatigue, life, wear and efficiency testing including, vibration, shock, impact, temperature and G-force. In addition to carrying out the testing, you will be responsible for creating test reports and analyses, troubleshootingtest item and test rig issues and interpreting the Client test requirements. You will co-ordinate development engineering workload and activities with the project Chief Engineer and Project Engineering Manager to meet project requirements.You will be responsible for:

• Engineering rotating machinery test system requirements and specifications
• Assisting creation of test facilities and equipment within company and Client facilities
• Assisting derivation of physical test requirements and creating test procedures and methodologies
• Carrying out and/or supporting test procedures and protocols as assigned; supervising and/or supporting testing at client and company facilities
• Creating test reports and analyses
• Troubleshooting test article and test rig issues
• Document checking/signoff as required (specifications/reports)
• Providing customer facing and supply chain support as required to resolve in service issues or to assist with development of new hardware

Role Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Test and Development engineer

• In depth knowledge of development and validation test techniques
• In depth knowledge and hands on experience as a development/test engineer
• Practical experience in the development of test protocols and test hardware requirements
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a data driven fashion
• Skilled in reviewing and reporting on performance tests and data such as trending & Fourier analysis tools
• Strong experience of automated test data capture methods and systems

Preferred, (but not essential) Requirements:

• In depth knowledge of heavy rotating machinery technologies. This may include associated technologies including sensors and instrumentation, lubrication, bearings, thermal response, noise and vibration.
• Knowledge of defence platform requirements, ideally land vehicle sector related
• Experience using electronic data capture and analysis software and tools
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and test protocols
