Technical Test Engineer required for a company in Leed (remote).This organisation is a multiple award-winning software company who have been widely praised in the media for both the company itself and their product offering. They havent even scratched the surface of what they think is possible, and need talented, enthusiasticpeople to help them get there!What really shines through about this company is the sheer breadth of career / learning and development opportunities they have long-term. Having doubled the testing team in size this year, and with plans to do the same next year, theres really no end tothe internal progress you could achieve. On top of this growth, the company have gone to great lengths to formalise some roles within the testing team (and company-wide!) to allow more routes for progression. This is also alongside offering paid for trainingcourses for you upskill technically as well!This role is a little bit unique within the company - and something quite interesting!They are looking for someone with a problem-solving mindset to come into the company, and look at all the different areas where testing is maybe not quite as efficient as it could be, or where particular processes are struggling to be adopted, or where automationtesting could be implemented, or where theres not much testing at all. From there, you would work with the testing team to develop and improve testing in that specific area, before going and doing all again once they are comfortable doing it themselves.Youll need to have both manual and automated testing experience, ideally using C# for the automation testing. You also have most of the following skills/experience:**Agile environment**API testing - Postman**Strong database/backend testing skills**Requirements gathering, documentation**Automation testing - ideally using C#**Problem solving mindsetThe company have moved to a remote working format, and this is not going to change, so you can be based anywhere within the UK. They do have an office in Leeds if you prefer the office (or want to do some office working), but youd need to be within a commutabledistance.They really treat their staff well (something you would naturally expect of course, but isnt the case with all company sadly), and really strive to create a relaxed (but motivated) environment for you to achieve and thrive in. Both the testing team, andthe wider company do lots of online and in-person (when possible!) events and socialising, with the company flying their employees across the globe for annual events, so you never feel isolated even when 100% remote.Salary wise the company are looking at £40,000+ at the top end, although can potentially be flexible beyond this.
