Do you enjoy supporting adults with autism to acheive their potentialWould you like to work Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm This could be the next ideal Support Worker role for you!An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker, to work with adults with autism within day services and outreach settings in Leeds.The role of Support Worker involves providing support to adults with autism in their development of essential skills, in order to stimulate confidence, independence and enhance their quality of life.This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Support Worker, to join this person centred organisation and to provide the highest standards of support.It could also suit a graduate who would like to begin their career as a Support Worker supporting adults with autism and progress within the Health and Social Care sector.This Day Services Support Worker role hours tend to be Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pmA large part of the Support Worker role, is to engage with adults with autism and support and encourage service users to participate in a range of social and life skills activities.Support Worker Role :

  • To deliver life skills sessions in the service, mainly on a one to one basis. This includes, cooking, baking, IT, woodwork, dance, arts and crafts.
  • Support adults with autism to experience life opportunities and promote the growth of individuals to their maximum potential.
  • Support with attending appointments, shopping, social and sport activities, pursuing hobbies, general support to enable service users to be more independent.
  • Work responsibly with the implementation of identified and agreed service user plans.
  • Ensure the welfare and development of all service users by providing the highest standards of care and ensuring that appropriate attention is paid to their spiritual, physical, cultural, social, educational and recreational needs in accordance with serviceuser plans.
