Job Description

Role: Solar PV ElectricianLocation: YorkshireSalary / Rate of pay: £30-40,000 DOEPlatinum Recruitment is seeking a skilled Solar PV Electrician with a strong work ethic and experience with Domestic and Commercial projects. You must be able to setup and maintain electrical infrastructure and work/ collaborate with other members of theteam to complete projects.Why choose our ClientOur client is a market leader in the Renewable Energy Sector with a forward thinking approach to design and installation of a variety of different renewable products.Whats involved

  • Carry out installation of solar PV systems, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters and panels, testing, installation of main switches and other standard commercial and residential electrical work
  • Ensure efficient, safe and quality work with adherence to best practice and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct site visits to ensure all pre-installation requirements are met
  • Work directly with staff, contractors, consultants and partners, providing pre/post-sales support, training and advice on solar PV design and installation requirements and standards
  • Identify (e.g. pick lists) products/components required for commercial projects
  • Remain up-to-date with requirements and best practice relating to solar PV design and installations and implement changes when necessary to ensure installations meet standards
  • Manage after-sales service for all divisions of the business, including investigating and following up customer performance enquiries and installation warranty claims
  • Help develop documentation, manuals and best practice guidelines
  • Adhere to all OHS&W requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
What you need:
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in solar panel installation (evidence required).
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • 18th Edition electrical qualification.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Health and safety training or CSCS card (beneficial).
