Job Description

Software AnalystAll LevelsContractNorthern EnglandThis world-renowned gaming company is looking to take on Software Analysts at all levels for their office in northern England. The chosen software analyst will be a part of a global security team fighting against cheaters, hackers and exploiters in their currentprojects. Youll be actively involved in their day-to-day operations of Anti-cheat and fraud programs, utilize reverse engineering to analyse malicious code, implement and deploy measures to ensure all cheaters, hackers and exploiters are found and dealt with,and respond to emergency security breaches. The right Software Analyst will be a valuable asset to the team, protecting players, employees and the companies reputation.This exciting opportunity requires the following:QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior professional and/or personal experience in reverse engineering software/malware analysis. We are currently considering applications at all levels of experience.
  • A strong thirst for knowledge and continuous personal development
SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of client-server and peer-to-peer gaming architectures.
  • Demonstrable technical background in any/all of the following: reverse engineering, malware analysis, hacking/cracking software.
  • Experience with scripting and process automation.
  • Experience with static and dynamic memory analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical recipients.
  • Ability to absorb extremely technical information in limited timeframes.
DESIRED SKILLS:Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
  • Specific experience with IDA Pro or Ghidra.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with creating customized tooling to support reverse engineering efforts.
  • Experience with packet and/or web capture software (such as Wireshark, Fiddler, etc).
