Job Description

To act in accordance with the requirements laid down in the Internal Audit Charter and Terms of Reference. To support the Board and Executive Committee by providing assurance over the strength of the businesses governance, risk management and control frameworks.Client DetailsThe business are a well known Financial Services organisation with offices in Leeds.DescriptionThe Senior Internal Auditors responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Aid in the development of the Business Assurance strategy with specific focus on the design of the Internal Audit universe and cyclical assurance plan.
  • Delivery of a wide spectrum of internal audit assurance reviews designed to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the governance, risk management and control frameworks.
  • Support the delivery of Internal Audit consultancy activity designed to aid the organisations identification and mitigation of risk.
  • Support the on-going evolution and embedding of the Risk Management Framework to ensure that the risks are identified, understood and mitigated to an acceptable level.
  • Monitor the organisations compliance to policies, procedures, processes and key controls
ProfileThe successful Senior Internal Auditor should have;
  • Internal audit experience in a financial services environment, ideally FCA regulated
  • Knowledge of audit techniques and standards
  • Relationship management and influencing skills
  • Professional audit qualification (CIA / IIA / CMIIA / ACA / ACCA)
  • Presentation skills
  • Investigative and quantitative analysis capability
  • Verbal and written communication skills
