Job Description

Science Technician

  • Job Type: Term-time, Part-time
  • Salary: £13-£14 per hour
  • Location: Leeds
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 16.00pm Term time only
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Science Technician to join our educational team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about science and eager to provide technical support within a school’s Science department. Thesuccessful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that teachers and students have the quality support they need to excel. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Preparing equipment and chemicals for lessons and class demonstrations.
  • Ensuring apparatus and chemicals are maintained, stored, and disposed of appropriately.
  • Adhering to rigorous health and safety standards.
  • Conducting stock taking and inventory management.
  • Retrieving and putting away equipment efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A strong passion for science and education.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
  • Willingness to undergo training and professional development.
