Job Description

Kloeckner Metals UK Limited (Kloeckner) is the UK subsidiary of the German listed, market-leading, 6.3bn turnover, 8,600 employee, global steel trading and distribution group based in Duisburg, Germany.The UK business, headquartered in Leeds, operates out of 11 principal locations, employs circa 700 staffWe are looking for a Sales Administrator to work from our flagship site in Leeds.We envisage this role will evolve in a very short space of time into a Sales Development Executive role so the right candidate will have the motivation and willingness to progress quickly.This role will can be either a full time home based role or working from the office when staff return to office based working.The main purpose of the job is initially to:

  • To play a key administrative role in supporting the sales team through processing sales-related paperwork.
  • Be able to assist customers who may need help with orders, requests and complaints.
  • Responsible for dealing with invoice queries, and report generation as required.
  • Handling Customer requests FPOC (First Point Of Contact), queries and complaints through all communication mediums, phone, email, etc.
  • Maintaining good customer relations.
  • Production of reports as required by the sales exec and management team
  • Customer satisfaction both horizontal and vertical.
  • Delivery to promise management, highlighting any issues before they arise
  • Data input into SAP, Excel as required.
Key Responsibilities will include:
  • To work safely in full compliance with all company & local safety practices & to be proactive in identifying/preventing hazards in the workplace.
  • To work to established standards relating to the activities & products. Will report on performance according to the agreed standards.
  • Work to established standards, incorporating continuous improvement, to ensure that company and customer requirements are met.
  • Contributes to achieving cost reduction targets for the department.
  • Ensures that output targets are achieved. Participates in continuous improvement activities to increase Sales capacity.
