Job Description

Exciting new opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager at a medical manufacturer based in Leeds. Client DetailsMichael Page Engineering and Manufacturing are pleased to be working with a medical manufacturer based in Leeds to assist in their recruitment of a Quality Assurance Manager.With customers across a range of medical products, this company operates to the highest quality standards and is looking for a like-minded individual to lead the quality department and continue to take the company from strength to strength.DescriptionReporting into the Operations Director, and with a team of 4 specialists, the main purpose of the Quality Assurance Manager role is to lead the quality department and ensure that all certifications, audits and customer satisfaction are maintained.Other day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors to ensure work is effectively planned and executed
  • Controlling all aspects of the quality management system (QMS) and all reporting
  • Ensuring ISO9001, ISO13485 and ISO14001 standards are complied with
  • Working alongside the businesss external H&S partner, peers, customers and team members to deliver a quality product in compliance with all regulations
  • Defining quality procedures (SOPs) in conjunction with production colleagues
  • Reviewing customer complaints and carrying out route cause analysis via the team
  • Liaising with customer auditors to ensure compliance and supporting local management teams with customer requirements
ProfileSuccessful candidates will have a strong quality background in medical manufacturing and will possess:
  • Understanding of ISO 13485 (essential)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (advantageous)
  • Proven ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of QMS systems and how to manage these
  • Ability to communicate at a variety of different levels across the business
  • Hands on approach, working alongside operations on a daily basis
Job Offer
  • £45-55k plus package
  • Ability to work from home 1 or 2 days a week (following successful completion of probation period)
  • Progression routes available internally
