Job Description

QA Lead -£55,000 - Hybrid in Leeds Overview of role As the new QA Lead you will play a crucial role in assuring the quality products and solutions through a combination of automated and manual testing. You will take ownership of all the aspects of QA within the Agile software product development team. Therole will also involve working with business stakeholders and having the confidence to define requirement and acceptance criteria, highlighting risk and release signoff.Key responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for the quality and quality assurance of the software products.
  • Maintain and develop quality assurance measures and testing standards
  • Keep up to date with quality assurance best practices, tools and techniques in an agile software development environment.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of members of the test team.
  • Preparation and execution of automated, manual and performance test plans to ensure business requirements are met and the products meet their usability and quality goals.
  • Communicate test progress, risk and other relevant information to the development team, product owners and other stakeholders.
Requirements/Skills
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a senior QA role
  • Creating, executing and maintaining automated and manual test plans and test scripts
  • Experience working with the SDLC
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Knowledge of BDD, Specflow, Cucumber or similar automated test frameworks
  • Mentor and skills development of other team members
  • Hands-on approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Resolving problems in a timely manner
  • Analytical and effective
Professional qualifications
  • ISEB/ISTQB Certified
