Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented individual with experience of managing a small team engaged in the refurbishment of pumps and pump components for various applications. The work is interesting and at times demanding but gives a feeling of satisfactionseeing a previously defunct pump leaving the workshops looking new again. The role will involve some hands-on work.Keywords: Pumps/Foreman/Manager/Maintenance/Repair/managing/CAD/DrawingsThe Role

  • Manage the refurbishment of pumps and engineering components to ensure the strip down, in-progress, final inspection and testing are carried out in accordance with procedures, specifications, drawings and clients’ requirements.
  • Provide direction and technical assistance to works engineering staff that may involve some hands on work.
  • Offering repair solutions to clients repair requirements and provide work updates to customers.
  • Ensures that Inspection reports are raised where appropriate and followed up.
  • Assist to manage the companys AGMEC range of equipment ensuring product quality and manage stock resources.
  • It would be advantageous to have experience in thermodynamic pump monitoring and testing although training will be provided.
  • Work closely with the works manager and shop supervisors to support workshop planning and to ensure all work is carried out safely and to the companies H&S rules.
The Candidate
  • Be an excellent communicator and have good people management skills.
  • Have comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps and technical drawings CAD ability would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
  • Be experienced in working with all types of Centrifugal pumps of various types, such as HSC, volute, axial flow and vacuum pumps.
  • Have practical engineering and technical experience in a supervisory /management role.
  • Have a broad experience of Industrial engineering.
