Job Description

Reed Accountancy are seeking aJunior Payroll Administratorto join a growing business inGarforthwho has a keen eye for detail and ability to multitask effectively. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of payrollprocesses from start to finish, working both independently and as part of a team.Day to Day of the role:

  • Inputting and processing data for the 4-weekly payroll.
  • Maintaining daily email and postal correspondence.
  • Entering and verifying payroll information such as new starters, leavers, employee changes, sickness, maternity, etc., into the company payroll systems.
  • Collating information, performing manual calculations, and producing 4-weekly payroll reports.
  • Downloading and entering data from HMRC into the Payroll system.
  • Calculating and making 3rd party payments.
  • Providing assistance, support, and advice to employees, regional managers, and directors on all payroll-related information.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of payroll data across all systems.
  • Running a payroll from start to finish.
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager with ad hoc requirements and working closely with HR and other departments to develop and improve processes and relationships.
  • Ensuring employee pension records are accurate and contributions are paid to the Peoples Pension by the due date.
  • Ensuring compliance with company Financial Policies & Procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good planning and organisational skills to balance and prioritise work.
