A global manufacturer of glass products is looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their Leeds based production facility. Offering an attractive salary plus benefits, this is an exciting opportunity to join a long established and highlysuccessful company.Salary: £32,000 - £35,000Shift Pattern: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 16:00 Friday (1 hour for lunch and you will be included in a call out rota out of hours)Responsibilities:You would be part of a team of engineers responsible for maintaining and developing the manufacturing plant and equipment using both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. Work will includeoDiagnosis of plant/equipment defects, develop solutionsoAssist with R & D projects to develop improved manufacturing plant and re-engineering.oHands on fabrication/assembly of equipmentoActively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across the siteThe Candidate:oStrong mechanical and electrical engineering experienceoIdeally a broad range of electrical and mechanical engineering skills, fabrication, design, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC control.oCAD/CAM competency.oAnalytical with strong technical fault-finding abilityoExcellent prioritisation and project development skillsoA fast learner who is resourceful with high attention to detailoThe following experience would be an advantage but not essential.oThryristor control of transformersoExperienced with refractory materials and high temperature environmentoBeing Apprentice trained in Electrical Engineering as a minimum, HNC level or equivalent.This role would suit someone interested in technology and materials and willing to research new methods for solving engineering issues.For more information, please contact Jemma Aylesbury on .
