Job Description

I am recruiting for a lovely Merchandiser position with a high growth e-commerce retailer in Leeds. This is a non-corporate, friendly culture, which has seen success through having a strong team and capturing the market. My client specialises in soft furnishingsand textiles.Client DetailsMy retail client specialises in soft furnishings and textiles with a highly successful e-commerce business based in Leeds. They have witness unprecedented growth and have double digit plans for 2023. This is an exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser tojoin a team which values autonomy, provides the room to have an opinion and implement changes, and to successful grow the wider team. The company has a lovely culture, focusing on employee well-being and rewards success.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Merchandiser area:

  • Develop and agree departmental plans, implementing agreed departmental strategy
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, sales and profit targets
  • Create & manage the departmental range plan
  • Trade effectively and monitor performance vs plans
  • Identify new business opportunities to grow sales and profitability
  • Review, propose and implement mark-down activity to reduce terminal stock
  • Manage the intake of stock in line with agreed stock levels
  • Manage the Open to buy, to increase flexibility throughout the season
  • Assist with processes, e.g. lessons learnt, sign off reviews, trade meetings, SKU & Sales analysis
