Job Description

I am looking for a Network Engineer who has strong commercial experience with firewall migrations, specifically Juniper (SSG to SRX). This is for a leading UK healthcare organisation, via an IT Professional Services business.Location: LeedsIR35 Status: InsideThe Requirement:

  • You will be mainly responsible for the design, specification, build, and delivery of production network environments to ensure high levels of network and service stability for hosted systems. Continued development and improvement to new and existing networkservices are fundamental to this role
  • Design and implement stable and highly available production networks within & across the data centres
  • Provide a network resource for the project management team involved with both group and external customer projects
  • Be available in the event of a major incident or incident investigation
  • Improve existing network solutions to match the continuous environmental evolution
  • Ensure the existing network solutions are patched to current/suitable security levels
  • Monitor, measure and maintain/improve network performance
  • Ensure accurate network documentation exists to aide future training
Skills / Experience required:
  • Proven commercial experience working in complex corporate networking for at least 5 years
  • Evidence of hands-on experience with firewall migrations, specifically with Juniper SSG to SRX
  • Experienced with business critical Software-as-a-Service solutions
  • Experienced with fast paced and multi project solution delivery
  • Experienced with major technology vendors including Cisco, Juniper and HP
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Experienced with VMWare networking deployments
  • Any knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Load Balancers is highly beneficial
  • Experience in setting up Radius/TACACS authentication servers
