Job Description

Role: Junior Bid Writer – LeedsElevation Recruitment Group - Marketing Division are excited to be working with a Bid Specialist company in their search to find two entry level Bid Writers who want to kick start their creative writing careers within a fantastic business.Salary: £24k Per annumHours: office hours Monday to FridayBenefits:

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working option – 2 days per week.
  • Flexible hours 37.5 per week (core times 10-2pm)

Job Overview:As a Junior Bid Writer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bid management process. You will work closely with senior bid writers, project managers, and subject matter experts to create compelling and winning proposals. This is an excellent opportunityfor an individual with strong writing skills, attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to successful business development.Key responsibilities:Proposal development:
  • Assist in the preparation and development of high-quality proposals and bids
  • Conduct research to gather information for content
  • collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical details for inclusions in proposals
Writing and Editing
  • Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, coherence and compliance with client requirements
  • Create persuasive and compelling narratives that effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions
Bid Coordination
  • Support the bid management process by coordinating internal resources and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist in the preparation of bid documentation, including formatting, proofreading and quality control
Communication
  • Liaise with internal teams to gather relevant information and insights for proposals
  • Communicate effectively with senior bid writers, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on proposal strategies
Market and Competitor Analysis
  • Stay informed about industry trends, client needs and competitor activities to enhance proposal effectiveness
Experience:
  • A Bachelors degree with a writing focus such as Journalism or English or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • A passion for writing through copywriting or content writing
  • Bid writing experience would be advantageous but not essential
Personal Attributes:
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and priories
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn
