Job Description

This role as an Internal Auditor in the Oil & Gas sector will see you perform audits in a risk-based approach, and will expose you to a variety of work. This autonomous position in a small team is ideal for somebody IIA qualified who is comfortable engagingwith stakeholders.Client DetailsOil & Gas based client, located in the North, offering hybrid working and a great salary.Description

  • The timely completion of risk-based internal audit reviews using different approaches and methodologies
  • Agreeing, negotiating and adapting the scope of each audit
  • Preparing the draft and final audit reports for circulation
  • Discussing with management all audit findings, recommendations and suggested solutions together with realistic implementation timescales
  • Managing effective relationships in order to fully manage and meet expectations
  • Working with integrity, objectivity and confidentiality
  • Ensure all audits undertaken comply with best practice, legislation and regulatory requirements.
Profile
  • Have demonstrable Internal Audit experience
  • Have a good understanding of risks and controls
  • Be comfortable working autonomously and managing audits with support given as required
  • Have good judgement in terms of identifying audit issues and recommending pragmatic solutions
  • Be an excellent communicator and able to liaise, influence and negotiate at all levels of the organisation
  • Be detail conscious, professional and flexible
  • Have strong commercial acumen
  • Ideally have an appropriate/relevant qualification(s) - Internal Audit - IIA (preferred)
