Job Description

Independently manage the end-to-end delivery of a range of audits and other assurance activities from planning through to execution, reporting and follow-up in line with the functions Internal Audit Methodology.Client DetailsThe business are a Financial Services organisation with offices in LeedsDescriptionThe Internal Audit Managers responsibilities include but arent limited to;

  • Independently lead and take ownership of the end-to-end planning and execution of internal audit engagements in sometimes complex subject areas to provide assurance and added value to the bank.
  • Conduct audit engagements in compliance with the IAS Internal Audit Methodology and diligently document the work undertaken in a structured, clear and concise manner to a standard that would be acceptable during an External Quality Assessment of the function.
  • Undertake planning activities for an assurance engagement where the route ahead may not always be clear to propose the scope and key risk areas for focus during the audit.
  • Prepare and present excellent quality outputs (e.g. audit reports and closing meeting slides) with an eye for detail to communicate key messages in a succinct and balanced way to a range of stakeholders helping to inform effective decision-making.
ProfileThe successful Internal Audit Manager should be;
  • A member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or holding a CCAB qualification (e.g. ACA)
  • Significant experience conducting the end-to-end delivery of internal audit engagements independently (and as part of a team would be an advantage).
  • Experience in the delivery of a broad array of strategic, financial, operational and compliance audits.
  • Experience of operating in financial services and/or the public sector. Relevant prior FS experience of working in investment banking, infrastructure finance or other development finance institutions would be a distinct advantage.
  • Prior experience of operating in a start-up environment would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of IIA standards
  • Excel skills and experience of project assurance an advantage
Job OfferThe Internal Audit Manager will receive;
  • Salary up to £85,000,
