Job Description

Elevations Procurement & Supply Chain Interim Division are currently searching for an Interim IT Procurement Manager, for a key client based in the Leeds area.Day Rate: £275-300 per dayAs the IT Procurement Manager, you will be working on multiple sourcing projects across the spectrum of IT technologies and services. Your role will advise the IT organisation on commercial, contract and supplier management activity on an international basis.Duties & Responsibilities of the Interim IT Procurement Manager include:

  • Accountability for key parts of the overall IT sourcing and procurement plan
  • Shape and support commercial projects and ensures delivery to meet the business plans for each functional area
  • Support supplier management activities for a defined range of suppliers working closely with the Vendor Managers
  • Act as the prime point of escalation for contract and supplier management disputes – engages at Director level with suppliers
  • Agree the go-to-market approach with IT Project Managers and IT Service Managers
  • Support the management of key suppliers across a range of technologies and services
  • Put suitable contracts in place with suppliers working with Risk, Finance and Legal resources

  • Excellent commercial acumen/negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills via all communication channels
  • Strong Contract Management/ Project Management skills
  • Responsive to customer needs
  • Good attention to detail is required
  • Able to negotiate complex commercial contracts
  • Self manages workload, scopes projects and manages priorities
  • Operates on a strategic basis
  • Team player, able to work cross functionally
