Agile Working OptionsHybrid Working Job descriptionJOB TITLE: Head of Risk OversightSALARY: £109,285 - £128,570LOCATION(S): Leeds, London, Edinburgh, Chester, Birmingham, Glasgow, HalifaxHOURS: Full timeWORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office siteAbout this opportunityWe’re looking for a Head of Function to lead our Consumer Lending oversight teams. This is an exciting and high profile role with a focus on building relationships with strategic internal customers, specifically the Consumer Lending Director and their teams,acting as their business partner. Youll monitor a wide range of activities ensuring a focus on customer outcomes and compliance with regulatory requirements by collaborating closely with all internal risk management functions and local management, while supportingthe development and implementation of the organisations policies. As a Head of function you’ll support Consumer Lending CCOR Director in providing oversight across multi facets across the business including major change initiatives, embedding of RCSA andengagement with Regulators.Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk (CCOR) provides independent assurance to the Board and GEC, that the control framework is effective, and that the Group takes reasonable steps to follow its regulatory obligations.What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the oversight of the teams within the Consumer Lending businesses, and the CCOR team.
  • Leading and delivery of real-time oversight whilst working with a variety of technical business partners across CCOR.
  • Delivering quality outputs and meaningful insights that support / influence senior management decision making outcomes.
  • Maintaining regular engagement with specialist teams in CCOR and collaborate effectively with other lines of defence.
  • Manage the team’s oversight plan and provide regular updated to the CCOR Director of business progress and risks.
  • Work alongside wider CCOR Consumer Lending and other CCOR teams to support the successful embedding of ORCSA and E2E Accountability.
  • Represents CCOR in relevant governance meetings.

  • Experienced Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk professional, with an excellent understanding of the key drivers, issues and constraints of the Consumer Lending businesses and the regulatory environment, able to take the broader view for the benefitof the wider enterprise.
  • Detailed understanding of the Group’s Risk Management Frameworks and related appropriate Control Environment.
  • Strong leader with significant experience of managing teams, an excellent communicator with ability to influence at senior levels across all areas of the business, and strong data analysis skills being able to succinctly tell the story.
