Title: Hair LecturerLocation: West YorkshirePay: £22.41 - £25 per hour including holiday payDuration: Part time (approx. 11 hours), TemporaryWould you like to work for one of the fastest growing and most innovative education groups in the country Do you want to teach a diverse curriculum to students within a vibrant and multicultural learning environmentReed - Further Education are seeking a Hair Lecturer to work in a FE college in West Yorkshire to deliver Hairdressing qualifications at Level 3, this would be to start end of Aug 2023.What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a Hair Lecturer

  • Teach on the Hairdressing programmes delivering effective learning
  • Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning
  • Develop and share resources for the course/subject
  • Maintain comprehensive, up to date, records and provide information as requested using College systems to track and communicate student progress
  • Ensure close liaison and good communications with colleagues
  • Value and support learners to achieve their full potential
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role
  • Level 3 Hairdressing qualification
  • Teaching and Assessing Awards i.e. PTLLS or Cert Ed and TAQA or CAVA
  • Ability to plan, deliver and assess quality teaching across identified modules/units.
  • Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression
  • IT literate including knowledge of coding/programming. Also word processing, spreadsheets and databases i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Google platforms
