Their portfolio will be varied and will change based on priorities at the time, which will allow the individualto be involved in a variety of interesting and challenging pieces of work and will provide the opportunity to build excellent experience.The role will be involved in a variety of work across Management Accounting, Financial Services and Faculty and Services finance teams. This will include project delivery and financial support, finance business partnering, financial planning & analysis work,financial accounting and reporting activity. The project work will include involvement in the design and delivery of the Universitys Corporate Processes & Systems project which will include a general ledger implementation and a new financial planning system.The Successful ApplicantAs Finance Project Business Partner you will have:

• A Professional accounting qualification;
• Extensive experience of accounting, budget preparation and forecasting and of providing a professional financial and management accounting service for senior managers;
• Experience of providing high quality finance business partnering support to business units or services, including senior stakeholder engagement;
• Ability to interpret data strategically and affect decision making through excellent influencing and negotiating skills;
• Evidence of the ability to build successful relationships and promote excellent team working practices both externally and internally and at all levels of an organisation;
• An ability to understand the business complexities and technical matters in a business area, and to provide a clear financial and commercial perspective
• An in depth understanding of Finance processes, including reporting and planning and forecasting;
• Evidence of effectively initiating and implementing process change;
• Ability to interpret, present and communicate complex financial information to colleagues of all disciplines in an enthusiastic and proactive manner, both written and oral;
• Ability to establish priorities and consistently deliver accurate, timely and relevant data to tight deadlines;
• Excellent organisational and problem solving skills;
• Be highly conversant with Microsoft Office Software - specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word

You may also have:

• Specific experience of IBM Planning Analytics;
• Specific SAP experience.
