Job Description

Location: Field Based (On-shore and off-shore- Company based in Leeds) Sector / Industry: EngineeringJob Reference:MK21JANLI am currently supporting an expanding business based in the Leeds area who are a global supplier of mechanical and electrical drive systems. The business operate within a variety of different sectors including but not limited to wind power, oil & gas, powergeneration, marine and cement.Due to growth I am looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. This opportunity would be perfect for someone who experienced within the role or if you are a mechanical engineer, technician or fitter who is looking for that next challenge thenI want to hear from you!This role can be based across the UK and Ireland and occasional off-shaw work. The ideal candidate will need to have flexibility to allow for this.Package details:

  • £30,750- £46,125 (Dependant on experience)
  • Hours of work: Monday- Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-3:30pm
  • Overtime rates
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holiday (Increases with length of service)

Key Responsibilities:
  • This opportunity involves the analysis, service / repair and maintenance of gearboxes for this businesses customers to improve drive train performance.
  • Build rapport with colleagues and customers to improve results
  • Consult on new products, that would improve their sites
  • Work on projects alone, and in a team.
  • Work around the UK and Ireland, and occasionally off-shore.
  • Work well to the businesses KPIs.
  • Report writing/ recording finances.
  • Work closely with the sales and back office team
Required Skills:
  • HNC or Degree Educated in Mechanical Engineer (or related qualification)
  • 10 years experience within industry (including apprenticeship)
  • 3 years experience working on rotary equipment
  • Ability to work at heights both on-shore and off-shore
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Driving license
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team effectively
  • VA Qualifications (Desirable)
  • GWO Certificate (Desirable)
