Job Description

Are you an experienced Events professional We are on the lookout for an Events Manager, passionate about delivering a programme of events working alongside leading industry experts. In this role, you will provide a pivotal contribution to a truly rewardingand successful not-for-profit cause.Our client, a leading Charity in the North Leeds area, are expanding their Events function and looking for a lively and passionate individual with similar experience within Events. We are open to candidates from various backgrounds, whether that be professionalservices, education, hospitality… Reporting to the CEO of the Charity, you will have overall responsibility for the delivery of their annual charitable programmes including project work, campaign management, events calendar and a wide range of other relatedtasks.The right work ethic is vital for this Events Manager role, a proactive and empathetic individual with strong experience, tenacity, and confidence to work independently and add value with the work that you do.What you will be involved with as Events Manager:

  • Working with the CEO and Head of Events to deliver an ambitious and strategic plan of charitable programmes to gain maximum publicity and reach.
  • You will deliver on all charitable programmes to include project work, GYB Grants, seasonal campaign management, specific grant applications and working with other external organisations and industry experts.
  • You will conduct research and analysis and will adopt overall responsibility for charitable output.
  • You will communicate and work very closely with 3rd parties for appeals and applications.
  • You will prepare and manage a budget and report to the CEO on all charitable expenditure.
  • You will prepare and deliver effective reports and presentations and collect data for the purpose of effective reporting.
  • Liaising with suppliers, ordering equipment and raising purchase orders.
  • Act as the charitys representative at major events on the day.
  • Building relationships internally with all teams and externally with a variety of stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
  • Similar experience gained within an Events role, running and leading on a programme of events.
  • Effective planning and organisation, able to document and keep a clear track of all programmes, expenses, plans etc.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and reporting skills.
  • Able to work with independence within your role, but as part of a wider team.
  • Able to multi-task and manage a varied workload.
  • A tenacious individual, hard-working and flexible to support within a small team, passionate and enthusiastic about the work you do.
