Job Description

We are working with a higher education establishment based near Leeds City Centre who are seeking an Electrician to install, maintain and repair electrical installations. This role incorporates sole responsibility for day to day electrical works along with day to day Estates Operative work, both of which need to be conducted to a very highstandard across the site.This is a full time, permanent role, working 37 hours and offers a salary of around £27,000 (Flexibility possible dependent on experience)The responsibilities of the Electrician will include;

  • Carrying out all electrical works for internal and external areas including the assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
  • Undertake official PAT testing of equipment and also devices following NICEIC guidelines.
  • Carrying out other routine repairs and maintenance such as fabric repairs, carpentry, minor plumbing.
  • General portering and cleaning duties as required on a relief basis.
  • Security duties, opening and closing of the site when on rota.
  • Other Ad-hoc duties when required.
The successful Electrician will have;
  • Minimum of two years experience working as an electrician after completion of qualifications.
  • Electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds 2391, 2394, 2395, 2360 or the Level 3 EAL Inspection and Testing and Initial Verification qualifications. electrical installation Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
  • The ability to efficiently design, install and verify a wide range of electrical installations in the most efficient and economical manner.
  • Flexibility to work between hours of 7am - 7pm as well as being available to be on site during events.
  • Confident ability using IT software
