Job Description

Lead Data Engineer with solid knowledge of the Google Cloud platfrom required for leading Digital Agency in Central Leeds.Salary 45kLocation Leeds / extensive home workingThe role will involve being a lead of Data Engineers working within a broader Data Science team providing data implementation and integration projects as well as data analysis to inform and optimise online marketing activities, enabling optimal return of investment for their client base.Within this you will be responsible for

  • Leading our data engineering stream, managing a team of data architects, designing and delivering analytics and data integration solutions for our clients
  • Working closely the Data Science Director to accelerate our capabilities within Google Cloud and related data platforms
  • Creating new, exciting data solutions that can help speed up, automate or enable our team and clients to work effectively with data
  • Campaign administration and maintenance tasks and client communication, making recommendations on improving client performance
  • Testing and reporting
  • Mentoring junior members providing knowledge and support
    • Key requirements
  • Managing and setting up Google Cloud instances (e.g. AppEngine, BigQuery, etc)
  • Managing and configuring data pipelines, data warehouses and connectors using SQL, Google App Script and working with APIs, Excel
  • Expertise in Google Analytics, dataLayer, Tagmanager, event tracking configuration and container management
  • Javascript and jQuery for tracking implementation and application within Google Optimize / Optimizely for AB and MVT testing
  • Understand of configuration requirements for cookie control mechanisms (e.g. Cookiebot, OneTrust, etc)
  • Great organisational skills to guide and mentor our data architects on day-to-day projects
  • Excellent communication skills
