Job Description

Credit ControllerUp to £28,0000Leeds (Hybrid/Flexible)Elevation Recruitment Group are thrilled to be working with one of the worlds leading professional services firms to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team. This is a fantastic role in a fast paced environment, where you can really get stuck into the duties and have full autonomy of your role. Duties & Responsibilities of the Credit Controller:
  • Contact clients / internal contacts for collecting debts of the company
  • Work alongside the debt collection agency when debts become overdue
  • Ensuring appropriate prioritisation techniques & timely follow up on all outstanding debts
  • Full ownership of your assigned portfolio, driving resolutions and escalations
  • Traveling to other locations when required
  • Driving cash flow & targets by strong portfolio management & relationship building
  • Engaging key stakeholders & continuously drive credit control strategy by building relationships
  • Usingimagination & clear-thinking techniques to improve processes & deliver excellent service
  • Driving recommendations of referral for further action when full collections techniques are exhausted to recover bad debts
Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrable Credit Control experience in a corporate environment
  • Exposure to either the Professional Services or Construction industries would be an advantage; as would membership of the Institute of Credit Management (or studying for CICM exams)
  • Excellent interpersonal & team work skills cultivating long term relationships at all levels of own & customer’s organisation
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment demonstrating success at reducing aged debts & improving metrics
  • Strong time management & demonstrate experience in meeting deadlines & targets
  • Desire for personal & professional development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to adapt to Bespoke Systems – (experience of Agresso an advantage)
