Job Description

"Our goal is to pay our Business Developers substantial bonuses", says the MD of this prestigious global business.This is a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced B2B sales specialist to join the worlds largest global insurance broker.Our client insures some of the most well-known companies on the planet; without naming names, this includes companies whose drinks many of us consume on a daily basis, and whose mobile phones a large part of the population simply cant seem to live without!Youll be working within the specialist mid-corporate Trade Credit Division, providing invaluable insurance cover to corporate businesses with a turnover in excess of £10M. As part of your sales pitch, youll be delivering a very positive message to prospectiveclients "Well help insure your outstanding invoices, so that you are able to borrow more and continue to grow." And given some of the recent developments with the economic and political landscapes, this is an opportune time to be selling this insurance coveras insolvencies are greatly on the rise. The MD summarises, "there has never been a greater need for Trade Credit Insurance, and it has never been so competitively-priced as it is now." This makes it the perfect time for an ambitious Business Developer tojoin the company and fully exploit all that the market has to offer. Working closely with a network of branch offices in Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland, youll sell insurance cover to existing clients who already have some form of commercial insurance via this company. In addition, youll develop your own new clientsvia the likes of networking, hospitability events, and securing profitable introducer partnerships.Previous insurance experience is not necessary, however, you must have a background in sales, from a B2B environment. Typically, youll be selling to CFOs and Company Secretaries of corporate organisations and as such, you must have the ability to trade effectivelyat this level. Moreover, you must be able to understand the buying styles and philosophies of corporate clients, with whom youll be able to secure strong buy-in.We are open to corporate business developers from a wide range of industry sectors, however, you must be "numerically comfortable", as your role will involve reading companies financial reports (comprehensive training provided). Crucially, youll be self-motivatedand driven; someone who sees a sales target as an opportunity to make substantial income. In terms of technical insurance training, youll have access to one of the most impressive, tried and tested training academies in the world.
