Job Description

Job Role: Commercial Project ManagerLocation: Leeds (2-3 days a week on-site)Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 DOEA new and exciting position has recently become live with a high growth and well-established organisation in the information security industry.They are searching for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.The successful applicant must have at least 7+ years of commercial experience as a Project Manager. They will have excellent knowledge of Agile principles, as well as experience and understanding of Waterfall methodologies.This role requires you to travel to Leeds based office two to three times a week. This means you must live in and have the right to work in the UK.As a Commercial Project Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with the VP of Commercial to monitor, report, and maintain business operations on track.
  • Define project life cycles suitable for various project types.
  • Support both internal and external projects.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to ensure compliance with legal requirements for external engagements and product releases.
  • Collaborate stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success metrics, and estimated resources.
  • Ensure projects stay within scope and meet budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Manage and distributes project communication artifacts such as charters, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, highlighting risks, challenges, and successes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintains a risk register for all project activities, implementing changes and allocating resources as needed.
  • Plan and monitor project budgets and staffing needs.
  • Establish, schedules, monitors, and reports on project metrics and activities, including subcontractor oversight.
  • Evaluate program performance to maximize return on investment.
  • Formulate, organise, and monitor interconnected projects.
  • Determine appropriate strategies and objectives and coordinates cross-project activities.
  • Resolve and escalate project, technical, and operational issues as necessary.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure adherence to guidelines.
  • Oversee and develop internal systems and processes related to the role, such as managing JIRA and adapting it to meet individual team and project needs.
  • Responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team.
  • Resolves team conflicts as they arise.
Essential Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a project manager ideally in the tech industry.
  • Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Engineering, or a scientific field.
  • Proficient in overseeing multiple projects, managing interdependencies, and addressing aspects such as resource allocation, risk assessment, issue tracking, and deliverable management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in partner and account relationship management.
  • Strong Commercial acumen and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Proficient understanding of Agile principles.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
Desirable Skills:
  • Prince 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in working within a high-growth, venture capital-backed environment.
  • Familiarity with working in ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 environments.
