Job Description

Calling all Chemotherapy nurse!I have a 3-month block booking in the Leeds area to working closely with cancer patient to deliver chemotherapy within the comfort of their own homes via IV administration.The work will be on a full-time basis working shifts Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm. The work has opportunity work across 5 days or 3 days a week.Client DetailsThe client is a private Healthcare provider with 30 years of experience in delivering high quality care and support to patients across Europe. They are the UKs leading provider of at home cancer treatments, offering support every step of the way for patientsacross their journey.They pride themselves on providing the highest standards of safety achieving industry-leading governance.The main focus is to give patients control of their health with the service they provide; ensuring knowledge, choice and convince.Description

  • RGN part 1 NMC Register
  • Chemotherapy delivery qualification (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving licence (with access to own car)
  • Experience in administering oncology medication, either in hospital or community environment
  • Experience of undertaking clinical assessments and administering sub-cutaneous injections
  • Experience in the care of IV devices and administration of IV therapies
  • Clinical skills required include clinical assessment, administering I.V. injections, administering chemotherapy, cannulation and phlebotomy skills.
  • Strong understanding of therapies relevant to service offering, including NHS knowledge relating to the management of patients with treated conditions
ProfileThe successful candidate will have the experience of working closely with the delivery of chemotherapy drugs administration with an SACT passport, with DBS clearance for Adults and Children. Along with a Full UK driving licence and access to their own car(mileage covered up to 63p per mile).Job OfferWorking with Michael Page Healthcare you will gain access to our specialist consultant who put you at the heart of what we do.
