Job Description

A fantastic new sales opportunity has arisen to join the market-leaders in Dry eye treatments!Our client is seeking a driven and tenacious Business Development Manager to join their highly successful team, promoting a range of Optics products. You will be responsible for managing the Yorkshire & North East region, liaising with independent and retailOpticians.Salary: Up to £40K basic, plus an excellent benefits package including a bonus, company car/allowance, pension scheme and healthcare!Ideal Requirement for the Business Development Manager:

  • Ideally at least 3 years’ experience of working in optical sales.
  • A proven track record of commercial sales.
  • Located on territory, with working knowledge of the region.
Role Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:
  • Effectively positions the product portfolio for the customers from both a clinical and commercial perspective.
  • Conduct sales calls with customers in Key Optical Accounts.
  • Focus all activities and promotional spend on target customers.
  • Use promotional materials in an appropriate fashion to support the selling messages as set out in marketing plans.
  • Uses strong commercial acumen to identify and develop opportunities within Key Accounts.
  • Applies a range of influencing, persuading and negotiation techniques to secure and maintain the account
