Job Description

The client are a values-led, big-ticket Fin/PropTech with a world-beating product- the darling of their market. This is a rare opportunity for someone to make a name for themselves, help build out a team and potentially take this across EMEA and beyond. Not surprisingly - we’re looking for a Unicorn in terms of background, experience, skills and personality.We’re looking for a Gamekeeper turning Poacher - someone who’s worked in Conveyancing or Mortgages for a number of years and has unique, current and granular knowledge of the processes involved. The client have digitized the Mortgage Process, from eConveyancing to Payments -Your experience:

  • 5+yrs detailed, current domain knowledge of Conveyancing gained from a medium to large conveyancer or panel firm - must be up to date with current practices, pain points and potential solutions across the UK (essential). OR
  • 5+yrs Mortgage origination / processing and operations experience an advantage from a UK Financial services organisation or mortgage provider (preferred).
  • 5+ yrs as a Senior Business Analyst in the Mortgage / conveyancing space with a detailed knowledge of current agile BA / product development techniques (if possible).
  • Experience as an analyst directly involved in requirements elicitation, definition, and functional design with agile methodologies. (preferred)
    • We know this is a lot, we’re after someone as close to the mark as possible. This is such a unique and unchartered role that we simply have to aim high.What you’ll do:
  • Be the subject matter expert(s) (SME) for all things UK Conveyancing
  • Understand the current UK conveyancing landscape and able to articulate key lender, conveyancer, and customer pain points both at a macro / micro level and articulate solutions.
  • Be Key contributor for the Remortgage and Sale & Purchase phases of the program for the UK conveyancing market
  • Assist with the prioritisation of requirements based on customer value and feasibility outcomes
  • Ensure conveyancing impacts are fully understood and defined in the solution
  • Requirements gathering and elicitation - working closely with Customers, Product Owners, technology teams, external partners and relevant SMEs to deliver clear end to end user stories and functional requirements definition to drive end to end development of the core product solution.
    • The process is simple - PeopleGenius are interviewing and longlisting currently - Candidates at this stage will be asked to sign an NDA such is the confidentiality of this role. We will then provide the shortlist to the Client, who will conduct 2x Video Interviews and a Technical review. We’re looking for the right person to join, ideally quickly.Location - anywhere. Offices will be near Basingstoke for weekly team meetings and Clients are Lenders across the country.
